Bell Choir

If you enjoy music and are willing to develop a few skills to develop your gifts for the Lord, contact Director Brian Albamont, who along with Glenn Knickerbocker will help you explore your interests. We will be meeting at 7 PM on Wednesdays to prepare music for Advent and Christmas, and we can still use one or two more ringers.

Dan Paashaus worked with us as Director of Music Ministries in 2008.
He had these words for us:

“I appreciate the involvement of the church family. Colossians 3:16 says we encourage with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. We hope all are encouraged with receiving and giving in this process.”

Dan is a graduate of United Wesleyan College and has been involved in pastoral and music ministries in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina and New York State. He works as a case manager in the mental health field and lives with his wife Lee and step-son, Andrew, in Cottekill, NY. Last year Dan and his brothers hosted a concert at Ulster Performing Arts Center with several classic Gospel groups. He loves a variety of music and hopes to collaborate with Pastor Merante and the congregation in continuing to enhance an enthusiastic musical church.

Worship choruses

Dan Paashaus directed a group in leading contemporary worship choruses at the opening of Sunday services in 2008.

Thanksgiving Musical

Visiting director and soloist Mark Hooper led our vocal ensemble in presenting "God For Us/God In Us" in the worship service on Sunday, December 7, 2008.

Concert Series

Pete Seeger, along with his grandson Tao Rodriguez, Jay Ungar, Molly Mason, and Peter Ecklund, performed a benefit concert for the Ashokan Field Campus on Friday, November 14, 2008 to a packed house at First Presbyterian Church.
